We have teamed up with Bill Hitchen from Salcombe, a fisherman who at the age of 14 left home to join the merchant navy and clocked up an incredible 5 trips around the world, before returning to his home town at the age of 19! I had the pleasure of spending a few days with him in January and enjoyed first hand an insight into the activity of the numerous small day boats that still provide fantastic quality fish from the channel. |
